Vibrio 2.0 is finally here, and it’s our biggest release yet! We’ve been working hard to bring you more features and improve the interface. Here are some of the major changes to expect:

All New UI

Our first goal was to continue simplifying the user experience, focusing specifically on how a user runs the show. The main updates center around the Show Screen seen below. All tile functions have been moved to a remote sidebar, which follows the user into the Edit Screen for fast, immediate access. This allows room for an additional row of tiles and a dedicated Now Playing section. Finally, adding the time and battery life to the show screen was a much needed and simple addition.

Multi-select

While Vibrio is effective at running shows a single scene at a time, it’s true power is in Scene Layering, which allows a more on-the-fly and immediate approach. In version 2 we’ve given users even more flexibility; allowing multiple tiles to be selected simultaneously, and faded in or out with the swipe of a finger. This mode is toggled on/off through the use of the new Multiselect button. Additionally, all Now Playing scenes can be selected at once and faded in all together. The Remote’s fader shows the values of all selected scenes, allowing for more complex transitions while running shows.

Multifader

We’ve redesigned the fader to better handle multiple values. When a group is selected and each fixture has different attributes, they can be all be adjusted from one fader. Another addition to the fader is that it uses the relative position of your finger for easy controls. You can start dragging from anywhere on the fader and control multiple values from there.
